HVAC, Controls & Plumbing systems design

By adopting a unified global engineering design software, all disciplines (architects, MEP, structural, civil, and others/managers) can collaborate seamlessly on a single platform

Complimentary offer

We’re pleased to offer an initial HVAC concept design as the starting point for your project. This will establish the overall HVAC approach and provide a clear vision of the proposed system.

The initial HVAC design will include:

  • Heating and cooling load calculations.

  • 2D/3D building views and design visualisation.

Following contract confirmation, the following additional design information will be provided:

  • System schematics.

  • Preliminary equipment selection and sizing.

  • Information to assist in identifying suitable manufacturers and equipment in line with your project requirements and budget.

  • EPC, Complianc & Energy reports., where applicable.

To provide you with an accurate initial HVAC design, we'll need the architectural plan views with detailed information that includes:

Key Details to Share:

  1. Floor Plans in DWG format (preferably in DXF format):

    • Indicate room usage (e.g., office, server room, lab).

    • Include mechanical/electrical rooms, roof access, or chiller plant space.

  2. Ceiling Heights & Building Sections:

    • Helps with ductwork/piping layout and sizing.

  3. Building Envelope Details (For Cooling/Heating Load Calculations) * Wall constructions (U-values) * Roof construction (U-values) * Floor construction (U-values) * Window schedule: * Glass type * SHGC / g-value * U-value * Frame type * Opening percentage * External shading elements * Orientation of each façade Without these, load calculations cannot be accurate

  4. Heat-Generating Equipment or Areas:

    • Such as kitchens, server rooms, machinery, etc.

  5. Preferred Equipment Location:

    • Rooftop, basement, external pad, etc.

  6. Any Special Requirements:

    • Noise limits, zoning restrictions, redundancy, energy efficiency targets (LEED, BREEAM, etc.)

Architectural Inputs

  • Floor plans, sections, elevations

  • Room dimensions

  • Window sizes, SHGC & U-values

  • Orientation

  • Occupancy type

  • Fire strategy (compartmentation, smoke extract needs)

  • Ceiling void heights

  • Equipment schedule (for heat gains)

  • Construction materials (walls, roof, glazing)

MEP Inputs

  • Electrical availability (power for HVAC)

  • Plumbing (water supply, drainage)

  • Firefighting constraints (shafts, pump rooms)

  • IT/ELV requirements

  • Acoustics requirements

Client Requirements

  • Comfort temperature (e.g., 22–24°C)

  • Ventilation strategy

  • Noise criteria (NC35, RC30, etc.)

  • Sustainability targets (LEED, BREEAM, local codes)

  • Budget level

After signing the contract, 2D/3D plantroom modelling will commence
